Karen is originally from Lyon, France but has went on a journey looking for her path in life from studying humanities (Psychology, Literature), She ended up for a year abroad in Iceland where she fell in love with the volcanic land and switched to volcanology. Now working as volcanologist at the Montserrat Volcano Observatory (Montserrat, Caribbean) with a focus on collecting data and studying the deformation of the volcano, which reflects the magma movements within the volcano while also working in earth outreach programs.
