As we travel down the discipleship pathway, we may get stuck in one place for a while. Jacob uses the short-term mission journey that Jesus sent his disciples on in Mark chapter 6 to remind us that discipleship is a continual progression. The mission of Christ requires us to accept certain things up front in order to keep from getting distracted.
