This week we are introduced to Haman. Haman is promoted to a place above all other officers in the King's Gate. But trouble comes when Mordecai refuses to bow to him. This may mean the annihilation of all Jews in the Persian empire. As we look at this situation, it forces us to ask the question: will God still help the Jewish people in exile? This also forces us to reflect on our own times of trouble. What goes through our minds in times of uncertainty and how can we walk through those times with clarity and peace?
