Hey y'all,
This week we sat down with Sam Flemming. He is the founder of Punk Foodie, the ‘go-to’ resource for Atlanta pop-up and chef-driven events and information.
We really got to geek about our favorite thing in this episode, FOOD! Join us as we talk about food porn, what it means to be a foodie, and what makes for authentic food.
Punk Foodie is recognized by Axios, Creative Loafing, Atlanta Magazine, and Eater. More recently, he has been actively curating chef-driven offline events including Punk Foodie Fest (8 pop-ups), Gather 'Round "Soul of the South" (14 pop-ups), The Evolution of ATL chef pop-up series at the Darwin Hotel and Punk Foodie Unleashed series at the 10th street dog park with many more exciting activations are in the works.
The Punk Foodie platform consists of @punkfoodie.atl Instagram account, a newsletter, as well as a weekly column, and an online calendar (in collaboration with Atlanta hyper local media group Springs Publishing) with information and listings for upcoming events in the underground dining scene. In addition, an app is under development.
Punk Foodie is powered by a proprietary approach to the continuous tracking on various social media platforms and a database of over 900+ active underground chefs and 300+ venues which identifies nearly 1,000 pop-up chef events every month in Atlanta.
