Laziness is the curse of this age. Being a mother and home-maker is hard work. Lazy husbands and fathers need to get right with God. Is the church enough or not? Early Christians and churches didn't have all of these seminars and conferences. You can fix your marriage anywhere and anytime. You don't need to spend a lot of money and hear from a special speaker to do so. It just comes down to repentance. We are so eager to complicate our situation and problems. The problem is simple and the solution is repentance. We read from a public school home economics course from 1950. What the public school taught 70 years ago is more conservative than what most baptist churches are teaching and preaching today! For a man or a woman to neglect the responsibilities of their God-given roles is to forfeit the highest calling. The opportunity of a lifetime must be seized in the lifetime of the opportunity. Are we supposed to change the world, or just live quiet lives of faithfulness and obedience? Success is not numbers, but rather obedience regardless of the outcome.
