Way back in 2021, the world at large was made aware of the travesty that was the Residential Schools in Canada - schools where indigenous children were removed to from their home and stripped of their cultural identities (and often, their lives. Unfortunately, the United States was not innocent of this tactic (called Indian Boarding Schools in the US). In this episode, we explore Colorado's history with the phenomena - centered around the Grand Junction and Fort Lewis schools.
