Filipe Masetti Leite is a journalist, cowboy, author, and adventurer who rode horseback from the Centennial Calgary Stampede to Ushuaia, Argentina (2012 to 2017). Born in Brazil and raised in Canada, he graduated in journalism from Ryerson University in Toronto. He has worked for OmniTV, CBC Radio, and Rede Globo. He currently writes for several publications in Canada and Brazil, including the Toronto Star and Trip Magazine. During his 23 500 km journey in the saddle, Filipe filmed a reality series for the Lonely Planet’s OutWildTV (post-production) and wrote a book released in Portuguese by Harper Collins - 13 weeks on the best-seller list in Brazil - in August of 2017. The English version of the book came out worldwide July 15, 2018. "Long Ride Home: Guts, Guns, Grizzlies," became a number one best seller on amazon.ca and is currently being adapted into a major motion picture.
