Today we have a really cool interview with Shane Feldman. Shane has basically become an expert in community and building more community into your life in this era of constant unrelenting distraction.
Shane is the founder, visionary, and CEO of Count Me In. Count Me In is his youth-led movement which basically started as a small project that went viral and has evolved into a global phenomenon. It is committed to transforming the way teens see themselves in connection to the world through volunteerism, community, and mentorship. It is now the largest youth-led organization on the planet. Since the first program in 2011, Count Me In community members have organized and supported hundreds of service projects, contributing to over 100 million volunteer hours logged, which is valued at over $2.3 billion.
Shane has been featured by Larry King, Dr. Oz, Forbes, and People magazine, and has been highlighted in a documentary TV series on A&E. He's spoken with and worked with some of the most dynamic companies on the planet including Google, Microsoft, and Walt Disney, and has been recognized by the White House, the prime minister of Canada, and the United Nations.
