Her exceptional work ethic and never-give-up attitude inspired her fellow players, earning her the role of team captain during Clemson's triumphant 2016 ACC Regular Season Championship season.
Off the field, Shannon's character shines just as brightly. As a personal skills development trainer for young athletes, she demonstrated an innate ability to connect with children and create a nurturing and positive learning environment. Her patience and genuine interest in helping these young players grow not only improved their technical skills but also instilled in them valuable life lessons such as perseverance, discipline, and the importance of teamwork. Shannon's humility and willingness to share her experiences, including her time competing at the international level for Team USA, make her a relatable and inspiring role model for aspiring soccer players.
