On this podcast, we’re going to be connecting you with other local businesses and the people who run them so that you can get to know their stories.

In today's episode, we are talking to the president of the Long Beach Soup Kitchen, Robert Blau.

Rob Blau is a compassionate and dedicated individual who found his true calling in helping others after retiring from his successful career. At the age of 53, he made the life-changing decision to leave behind the comforts of retirement and embark on a volunteer trip to Haiti, following the devastating earthquakes that struck the country. This experience opened his eyes to the immense need for support and inspired him to dedicate his newfound free time to making a positive impact in the lives of those less fortunate.

Since then, Rob has become the Kitchen President of the Long Beach Soup Kitchen, where he leads with passion and unwavering commitment. With his leadership, the soup kitchen has grown and evolved, becoming a vital resource for the food-insecure population in the community. Rob's genuine care for others and his ability to bring people together have transformed the soup kitchen into a place of warmth and nourishment, not just for the body, but also for the soul. Through his selfless dedication and desire to make a difference, Rob Blau has become an inspiring figure, reminding us all of the power of compassion and the ability to change lives.
