A Thrill of Hope: Peace (Part 2)

In order to find yourself on the path of peace, you have to determine the source of your stress.
A place, a pace, a problem, or a person.
Whatever you identify as the source of your stress will determine where you will seek your peace.
What is your expectation of peace?
God, not only rescues you from, but also visits you in your trouble.
God promises peace, not your preference.
It is impossible to experience peace when you are expecting perfection.
The problem is not the problem, it is not the place, it is not the pace, and it’s not the people. because God shows up into a problem, and he shows up in an unlikely place, at an untimely pace, and appears to unlikely people.
The problem is that we cannot receive peace because we focus on perfection.

The enemy of your peace is not other people, it’s not places, it’s not the pace of life, it’s not even problems. it’s your insistence on perfection.

God did not come down into perfection. He did not come down looking like a deliverer but He came down looking like a dependent.

When the prince of peace came, He didn’t show up dressed in power but rather in pampers.

Comparison is the thief of joy.

1.) if you are going to live at peace, you must surrender your expectation of perfection.

Peace is not found in a place, it is not found in a circumstance, it’s not found in a coming from it, it’s found in a savior who meets you in it. ‬‬

If you think babies are perfect, you’ve never had one at home.

We were looking for God, the warrior, not the weakling. But God shows up as a tiny infant, to a desperate people, in a delicate place.

God’s path to peace for us, leads us through an obscure place. through hiding in Egypt, to the garden of Gethsemane, where he would pray to God if there is any other way. through the kindron valley and, ultimately, to the place of the skull, where he would take the wrath of God upon him to bring us peace.

The path of peace where he came into this world in weakness, and dies in weakness, so he could bring us strength.

Whatever you identify as the source of your stress will determine where you will seek your peace.

It’s time to get to a point in your life where your expectations of people don’t determine the peace you hold in your heart.

Peace had to pass through the Shepard’s fear. Which allowed them to find God in the place, which could’ve been their greatest fear. ‬‬

Peace on earth, not from earth. real peace is from God, plastic peace comes from people.

If peace comes from people, people can take it away, if it comes from situations, circumstances can take it away.

We have a peace that the world didn’t give and the world can’t take it away.

You have an unshakable peace, an unspeakable joy, an undeniable hope, and an anchor of love who is Christ Jesus, the Lord.

As long as you concentrate on missing pieces, you will never have peace.

You will miss peace when you focus on what pieces are missing.
When you have a piece of peace you need to thank God for It, and take it and celebrate it, Christmas may be total chaos be celebrate the peace you do have!

He said he would guide our feet into the path of peace

2.) It’s not the path to peace, it’s the path of peace. ‬ ‭

The calendar change doesn’t mean a change from chaos, the same thing you allowed to steal your peace will still be there next year if you allow it.

Every step I take he’s with me, every move I make he’s with me, every season of my life He is present. the path of peace is not something we’re waiting for, it’s something we’re walking in.

Stop waiting for it. start walking in it. ‬‬

You might be walking through a valley but God never called you to lie down and die in it. He called you to keep on walking the path of peace.

God wants to give you peace in the process with who you are becoming in Him.
