Description

1 Corinthians‬ ‭13‬:‭4‬-‭7‬ ‭NIV‬‬

If we receive God’s love, it allows us to give love.

You cannot give away that which you do not have.

We need to learn how to love from God’s love.

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭12‬:‭28‬-‭29‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The work of a believer is receiving, not achieving.

“Since you are receiving a kingdom that is unshakable”.

The world wants to shake you up God wants to stir you up.

1.) God is Faithful

Hebrew word Emeth - firmness, faithfulness, truth
sureness, reliability
stability, continuance
faithfulness, unwavering
truth

God can be trusted because He is trustworthy and Faithful.

God commits a vow and carries out His vow.

II Timothy‬ ‭2‬:‭13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭7‬:‭9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭119‬:‭90‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

What we worship is what we become like.

Because God has been Faithful to us we can be faithful to others

Because God has loved us we can now properly love others

Because God has been generous to us we can now be generous toward others.

Because God has forgiven us we can now forgive others.

Everything in your life flows out of your relationship with God.

It’s impossible to have a good marriage if you don’t have a good walk with God.

When we’re stirred up in our love for God it keeps our lives from being shaken.

God wants you to receive an unshakable faith in a shook up world.

Four laws of marriage

‭‭Genesis‬ ‭2‬:‭24‬-‭25‬ ‭NASB

1.) It has to be first (it must have priority, God and your spouse)

If your priorities are out of order, your whole life will be out of order.

When God made Eve out of Adam, he didn’t make her out of Adam’s head so she could rule over him. He didn’t make Eve out of Adam’s foot so he could step all over her. He made Eve from Adam’s rib so they could be partners.

2.) You have to work at it

When you join two lives together, two backgrounds, two families, two personalities it takes work.

When you stop working on the relationship, the relationship stops working itself.

Working on our communication, working on our forgiveness, working on our love and working on our future.

3.) You have to share

Marriage is the deathbed of selfishness.

Selfish people can seldomly stay married.

If you want your marriage to Thrive, you have to learn to serve.

4.) You have to be careful

You must protect your marriage and each other.

Real marriage shouldn’t need a filter.

4 laws of Marriage, and the 3 Foundations of Marriage.

1.) Foundation of God’s Word

All of God’s blessing is found within God’s word.

The only way your marriage will Thrive is to have its foundation built on God’s word.

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭4‬:‭4‬ ‭NASB

A marriage that’s built on feelings will Fail.

The only way a marriage will work is when it is built on Gods word.

Get into the word of God as a couple, start speaking and confessing the promises of God together, start sending each other scriptures that will encourage each other.

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭40‬:‭8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7‬:‭24‬-‭25‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

When you receive a kingdom that cannot be shaken, you must build it on Kingdom principles

Psalms‬ ‭107‬:‭20‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭119‬:‭105‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

2.) Foundation of God’s Love

‭‭I John‬ ‭2‬:‭15‬-‭16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

We want the Love of the father in our lives, not the lust of the world.

Love is a decision Lust is a feeling.

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭5‬:‭25‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Comparison is the thief of Joy. the gold standard in marriage is to not compare your marriage to other people’s marriages.

3.) Foundation of God’ House

We need God’s house as a foundation for our marriages.

Church will take your marriage from surviving to Thriving.

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭92‬:‭12‬-‭15‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭10‬:‭23‬-‭25‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The house of God can save your life and save your marriage.
