Prepare. Posture. Propel. Produce.
““Four things on earth are small, yet they are extremely wise: Ants are creatures of little strength, yet they store up their food in the summer; hyraxes are creatures of little power, yet they make their home in the crags; locusts have no king, yet they advance together in ranks; a lizard can be caught with the hand, yet it is found in kings’ palaces.”
Proverbs 30:24-28 NIV
The quality of the wisdom you obtain determines the quality of the decisions you make.
Your destiny and your future are moving toward you at the speed of your decisions.
What is easy to do is also easy not to do.
1.) Prepare Yourself
“Ants are creatures of little strength, yet they store up their food in the summer;”
Proverbs 30:25 NIV
You must be busy now preparing yourself for the season God is bringing you into.
You can’t get ready when it’s time to be ready.
As long as I’m preparing, it is proof that I’m expecting something. There is no such thing as expectation without preparation.
The ant always goes after things that is bigger than itself. It is time you start going after things that are bigger than you.
“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like. But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing.”
James 1:22-25 ESV
God will meet you at your point of preparation and expectation.
“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,”
Ephesians 3:20 NKJV
Preparation is proof of expectation.
Ants aren’t looking around to see who is looking at them, or who is or isn’t helping them.
Be so busy preparing that it doesn’t matter what others are saying.
The ant moves with such confidence that it will be alive in the next season that it spends this season preparing in expectation for what’s next.
2.) Posture Yourself
“Hyraxes—they aren’t powerful, but they make their homes among the rocks.”
Proverbs 30:26 NLT
The ant teaches us to prepare, the hyrax teaches us to posture ourselves.
Your posture is your defense against the attack of the enemy.
Proper posture knows where its strength lies.
The right posture gives us the right projection. It hides itself in something stronger than itself and can withstand any attack of any enemy.
The posture of worship hides us in God’s presence and projects how Great He is.
3.) Propel Yourself
The locust understands that alone we can do very little but together we can accomplish great things.
“locusts have no king, yet they advance together in ranks;”
Proverbs 30:27 NIV
We need a community of faith that is going to help prepare us, posture us, and propel us into everything God has called us to do.
4.) Let it go and Produce
“Lizards—they are easy to catch, but they are found even in kings’ palaces.”
Proverbs 30:28 NLT
The lizard teaches us to let it go.
The only reason the lizard is still alive is because it was willing to let its tail go.
What you are willing to leave behind will determine what you are willing to walk into.
Lizards are cold blooded by nature so it can’t regulate its own body temperature. In order for it to survive, it must be exposed to the sun.
In order for you and I to make it in this life we need to expose ourselves to the Son.
Can you prepare yourself, posture yourself, and propel yourself to produce the thing that God has put on the inside of you?
Systems produce order, faith produces miracles.
