The first thing God deals with is You, and then your relationships, You and then your friendships, you and then your family members.
1.) Jesus is Love
This is who He is, not what He does.
“Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.”
1 John 4:8 NIV
More than the Sands of the seas are the thoughts of the Lord toward you! -Psalms 139:18
You need to get it settled in your life. Even when you can’t love yourself, God still loves you.
“My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”
John 15:12-13 NIV
“See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands;”
Isaiah 49:16a NIV
“Yet even in the midst of all these things, we triumph over them all, for God has made us to be more than conquerors, and his demonstrated love is our glorious victory over everything! So now I live with the confidence that there is nothing in the universe with the power to separate us from God’s love. I’m convinced that his love will triumph over death, life’s troubles, fallen angels, or dark rulers in the heavens. There is nothing in our present or future circumstances that can weaken his love. There is no power above us or beneath us—no power that could ever be found in the universe that can distance us from God’s passionate love, which is lavished upon us through our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One!”
Romans 8:37-39 TPT
“The Lord appeared to us in the past, saying: “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.”
Jeremiah 31:3 NIV
2.) Receive the Love of God
The work of the believer is to receive what God provided, not achieve what God has already finished.
“But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.”
Romans 5:8 NLT
“You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. You honor me by anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings. Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever.”
Psalms 23:5-6 NLT
Your relationships are the greatest indicator that you are a receiver of God’s love.
3.) God starts with you but ends in others
God does something in you so He can do something through you.
“The one who blesses others is abundantly blessed; those who help others are helped.”
Proverbs 11:25 MSG
“I’ll make you a great nation and bless you. I’ll make you famous; you’ll be a blessing. I’ll bless those who bless you; those who curse you I’ll curse. All the families of the Earth will be blessed through you.””
Genesis 12:2-3 MSG
“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.””
John 13:34-35 NKJV
I don’t want to hear about your Christianity if you don’t display any kindness to others.
4.) You Blame or Build, the Choice is up to You.
The more bitter you stay, the more broken things will remain. The more bound you stay, the more broken your world will be.
“For I am the Lord who heals you” - Exodus 15:26b NKJV
Shame is a bully, guilt is condemnation, but today, there is freedom in Christ Jesus!
There is no therefore no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
Romans 8:1a NKJV
Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him. And a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
Ecclesiastes 4:12 NKJV
