“The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, And he addeth no sorrow with it.”
Proverbs 10:22 KJV
We get to give we don’t give to get.
You give for the right reason, and your motives are pure, and it positions you for the blessing of God.
The Bible never says to give a tithe to God it says to bring and return the tithe to him, you don’t give what already belongs to him, you return it to Him!
We either return the tithe to God or we rob the tithe from God.
We put our faith in action by returning the tithe to God.
1.) Live like a steward.
God owns it all, and God loans it all to you and I.
2.) Live like a Giver!
You aren’t living until you start giving!
“Give freely and become more wealthy; be stingy and lose everything. The generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed.”
Proverbs 11:24-25 NLT
The world of the generous gets larger and larger and the world of the stingy gets smaller and smaller.
3.) You have to Trust God!
“God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through? Listen, I received a command to bless; God has blessed, and I cannot reverse it! No misfortune is in his plan for Jacob; no trouble is in store for Israel. For the Lord their God is with them; he has been proclaimed their king.”
Numbers 23:19-21 NLT
““For I am the Lord, I do not change;
Malachi 3:6a NKJV
“The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever.””Isaiah 40:8 NIV 4.) We give to God because we have been blessed by God
“Starting from the day you put the sickle to the ripe grain, count out seven weeks. Celebrate the Feast-of-Weeks to God, your God, by bringing your Freewill-Offering—give as generously as God, your God, has blessed you.
Deuteronomy 16:9 MSG
“Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, And into his courts with praise: Be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; And his truth endureth to all generations.”
Psalm 100:4-5 KJV
““Yes indeed, it won’t be long now.” God’s Decree. “Things are going to happen so fast your head will swim, one thing fast on the heels of the other. You won’t be able to keep up. Everything will be happening at once—and everywhere you look, blessings! Blessings like wine pouring off the mountains and hills. I’ll make everything right again for my people”
Amos 9:13 MSG
