We serve the God of Celebration
“A thief has only one thing in mind—he wants to steal, slaughter, and destroy. But I have come to give you everything in abundance, more than you expect —life in its fullness until you overflow!”
John 10:10 TPT 1.) People don’t celebrate because they are still entangled
“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,”
Hebrews 12:1 NIV
Fear tolerated is Faith Contaminated.
2.) People don’t celebrate because their eyes are fixed on what others have
“fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.”
Hebrews 12:2-3 NIV Your eyes have to be on God. While they are on other peoples lives, your life is passing you by.
You will always mess up your life when your eyes are on someone other than Jesus. you end up in jealousy, envy, covet-ness, anger, and being the victim.
3.) people don’t celebrate because they are looking for an escape
Worshippers enter in to his courts, people who don’t serve God are always looking for an out.
Prodigal son wanted the escape life until he realized it led to an empty life.
When the son comes back, the celebration begins. 4.) people don’t celebrate because they take themselves too seriously
“He Who sits in the heavens laughs; the Lord has them in derision [and in supreme contempt He mocks them].”

“Then were our mouths filled with laughter, and our tongues with singing. Then they said among the nations, The Lord has done great things for them. The Lord has done great things for us! We are glad!”

5.) People need to start looking for a reason to celebrate!
We are glad to pray about everything but we praise God for the breakthrough!
“When the Lord brought back his exiles to Jerusalem, it was like a dream! We were filled with laughter, and we sang for joy. And the other nations said, “What amazing things the Lord has done for them.” Yes, the Lord has done amazing things for us! What joy! Restore our fortunes, Lord, as streams renew the desert. Those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of joy. They weep as they go to plant their seed, but they sing as they return with the harvest.”

6.) People should celebrate because he is making all things new!
New perspectives, new faith, new insight, new relationships, new excitement.
Don’t look for evidence of His absence, look for evidence of His goodness!
7.) If you live a life of celebration, the Joy of the Lord will be your strength
