In talking to my eldest daughter about doing something she really doesn't want to do, but as a parent, knowing it will be in her long-term interest, it got me thinking about the incredible life lessons that exist in a school excursion. In your journey to lose weight, transform your body and optimise your health, there are always questions you ask yourself. Why can't I do this? Why do I keep failing? I've never done it before, so why is this time any different? Why is this so hard for me? BUT... if you put yourself in a position of the alternate argument, you find your perspective can change dramatically. Write down all the reasons why you CAN do this, why you WILL NOT fail, why THIS time is different and why this time witll be EASY for you. Here's the trick - push yourself to come up with the alternate arguments no matter how passionately you currently feel about the downside. I can't think of any positives is NOT true. What's always wrong is always available to you. But so is what is right - you just have to be prepared to find it.
