#SOUR. It's the album I didn't know I needed. My inner angsty teen screams to it, my current 27-year-old self cries to it. Ahhhhh it's therapy. But cast your mind back even 10 years. Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez, and Ariana Grande, were all still bow-in-the-hair picture-perfect Disney stars. Miley especially, worked hard to break the mold - meaning she was sexualized and highly criticized in the media for just being a typical teen. Fast-forward to today, Disney star and the world's biggest and newest pop-star, Olivia Rodrigo, it's a different story.

Oliva's debut is the perfect teen album. Hurt real feelings, insecurities, and real-life shit. She swears, she yells, and she goes through all the motions. LIKE EVERY TEEN DOES! A new-age star, she's perfectly executed the differentiating properties between Disney star and real-life teen - AND WE'RE HERE FOR IT!

We discuss this and much for in the first part of this chat - I even (attempt) to sing/scream along. I mean, good 4 u, is just next level and an emotion I've struggled to express until this song. This week's therapy session is going to be much more communicative - i just need to read the lyrics!

Part two of this solo episode I talk about the struggles of making friends as an adult. IT'S FUCKING HARD and noone is talking about it! I'd love to hear your thoughts on this too. Make sure you follow our socials too so we can keep this conversation alive. As always, please rate, review, and subscribe as it really means a lot and helps with the podcast. Until next MONDAY 6 AM ET, take care!
