Pedro stutters when he gets nervous. So one day Pedro finds an old robot in a second hand thrift store and brings it home and fixes it. The robot awakes and tells Pedro his name is Cornelius. Cornellius the Robot has a special ability to read thoughts. Cornelius the Robot reads the cat Ripples and dog Pancakes thoughts. Pedro finds out his cat Ripples plays tricks on the dog. Pedro takes Cornellius to school for a show and tell event his teacher Roger Theopanes is hosting. However the robot reads Pedro's classmates' thoughts which stirs up trouble from school bully Simon McGruff. Cornellius tells Pabla that Pedro wants to take her to the dance. Pedro finally doesn't stutter when he stands up to bully Simon and asks Pabla to the dance. Pedro's Mom Francesca and Father Luca are proud of their son.
