As children, we come into the world without the idea that we cannot do anything we want to do. However, as the years move forward we meet challenges and oftentimes equate are challenges with our sense of self value and self-worth. As we age, that judgmental voice in our heads solidifies and controls our thinking. I became aware of this as I was thinking about my youngest children and my desire to steer them into a high level of self-esteem, and self-worth. I realize that despite my greatest desire, I will still missing the boat and the opportunity to share with them that their challenges are quite separate from who they truly are as a person. Somehow we seem to equate one with the other, and the effects on our lives a deeply detrimental. Let's talk about it!!
