I didn't realise I was addicted to worrying until a couple months ago when I read The Big Leap by Gay Hendricks.
Addiction is defined as not having control over doing, taking or using something to the point where it could be harmful to you. I can think of so many times worrying has felt beyond my control to stop and that it caused harm in my own life: panic, anxiety, sleepless nights, I could go on. But what if, like any addiction, it's something you could repattern your brain out of?! What if worrying is a choice?
