The National Veterans Transition Services, Inc. (NVTSi) was co-founded by Maurice Wilson with the goal of providing comprehensive employment services to veterans to increase their chances of finding meaningful employment in the civilian workforce. The organization leverages technology, personal development techniques, career development skills, and relationships to bridge the employment gap faced by service members leaving the military.
The NVTSi team is aware of the challenges faced by veterans during their transition from military to civilian life, with over 50% of veterans facing unemployment for 22 weeks and 81% of transitioning military personnel feeling unprepared for the job market. This has led to a range of unintended consequences, including high unemployment rates, homelessness, suicide, domestic violence, and drug abuse.
To address these issues, NVTSi developed the REBOOT Workshop, a three-week program that provides veterans with the emotional, psychological, social, and professional skills necessary for successful reintegration into civilian life. The workshop utilizes cognitive restructuring to help veterans redefine their lives and achieve a successful transition.
