Today’s episode features an interview with Venganza!!!
Venganza are from my hometown, Zaragoza (Spain), and they play hardcore punk, influenced mainly by Iberian punk bands.
Oh, and this episode is in Spanish. I interviewed them in the van while we were touring together, and I figured that between the road noise and English being our second language, it might be a bit hard to follow... Turns out the sound is actually pretty good! And if you don’t understand Cervantes’ language, no worries, you can still enjoy their songs, which I drop in here and there during the episode, hehe.
Venganza are not just a great band, they are also good friends. I’ve known some of them for decades, and with two of them I even played in a band called Plaga. I did not remembered this, but while doing a bit of research to introduce them, I was reminded that they recorded their first demo in my old rehearsal space in Madrid, where we used to rehearse with Perräs Salvajes, and I even did some backing vocals on it. I had completely forgotten about that, hahaha.
