Florent Malouda is best known for his successful time at Chelsea and his achievements with the French national team. But those heady heights are just the very tip of an iceberg which has its roots 5,000 miles away in tropical South America. Malouda's rise to become one of European football's most recognisable names was sometimes bumpy, sometimes meteoric – but it was never dull.
