From poverty and degradation to worldwide acclaim and riches and then to poverty and ostracism, MahanKirn Khalsa’s life might seem wildly fictional to a listener. But she says she has the scars and the spiritual awakening to prove it.
Now living in Los Angeles, she was born in Florida to hippy parents who. Ms. Khalsa says, essentially gave her to their yogi cult leader.
Now Ms. Khalsa is in the final stages of a two-year project to write her memoir, tentatively tiled “Queen: A Women’s Journey from Sexual Slavery to Radical Forgiveness.”
