Elvir Causevic runs a boutique investment bank in San Francisco.  But this is not your staid, buttoned-down banker.

At night Mr. Causevic runs a wisdom school.

An inventor with more than 30 patents who pioneered brain-scan devices while at Yale, he says he is now focused on helping bring “living wisdom” back into daily lives to help heal the divisions in society.

Mr. Causevic founded UpEnd, where ancient and Indigenous peoples’ causes “are taught and celebrated.” He says that what is taught can help “upend stress.”
