Grumpy. Cross. Argumentative. Belligerent. Those words and others like them seem to describe life in America today.
“There are several elements in this. One is the political environment as we head into an election year,” says Kenneth Cloke, director of the Center for Dispute Resolution in Santa Monica, who has been resolving disputes for years.
“And this isn’t just in the political arena. It also rolls over into families and relationships,” Mr. Cloke says. “There’s also a lot of uncertainty about the world these days. People are a little more anxious and scared about what’s going to happen.”
