Hannah and I discuss her journey as a student activist, how being a Trans Racial Adoptee has shaped her life and research as a PhD Student. We also discuss our histories as student activists, how you heal and grieve and offer a critique of the academy.

Hannah Bio
Hannah Hyun White (she/her) is a Korean adoptee from Phoenix, Arizona. She earned her M.A. in Higher Education from the University of Arizona and is currently a third-year PhD student studying higher education at the University of California, San Diego. Her research and praxis are largely influenced by Asian American feminist theories and anti-colonial/decolonial framework and methodology in co-creating knowledge that centers truth telling, collectivism, and care in working to dismantle systemic racism and institutional violence in the academy. In her free time, Hannah enjoys shopping at Trader Joe's, drinking copious amounts of matcha lattes, and playing Animal Crossing.
