James and Aidan kick off their second episode by examining the Boston Bruins’ strong start and the effect Charlie McAvoy’s return will have. They touch on Rick Bowness’ high-flying Jets before looking at a couple of teams lower in the standings; first, the Columbus Blue Jackets, now without Zach Werenski for the year, followed by the Calgary Flames, whose struggles haven’t yet drowned their playoff hopes. Switching gears to junior; Connor Bedard continues to pile up the points as James and Aidan compare his pace to other #1 overall picks. They move on to International hockey, first discussing how Canada will build around Bedard at (likely) his last World Juniors, followed by a word on the NHL’s decision to push the World Cup of Hockey back to 2025. They wrap up with a game of “Career Trajectories” and James’ thoughts on which current NHL teams in playoff positions will finish the year in a playoff spot. Podcast produced by Gareth Baird.
