“These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and your joy may be made full” (John 15:11). These things refer to lessons Jesus Christ taught His disciples the night before He was crucified. It must have been an amazing Bible class! Jesus packed a tremendous amount of information into His last class with them—the information they would need to persevere in the devil’s world. Lessons we also need to learn and apply. Highlights include the need to be cleansed from personal sin through the use of rebound, I John 1:9, the need to forgive and love others using the problem-solving device of impersonal love, and how to overcome fear. “Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me” (John 14:1).
