Knowing you have eternal life is wonderful. You don’t have to worry about death. Once God gives you eternal life He doesn’t and can’t pull it back. “I give unto them eternal life and they will never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of My hand. My Father which gave them to Me is greater than all and no man is able to pluck them out of My Father’s hand” (John 10:28-29). You can’t lose your salvation because it is based on the work of Christ on the cross. It is not based on you. The fact that you’re not going to lose your salvation doesn’t guarantee you will live a successful Christian life. You need to learn the plan of God for your life. At salvation, you are brought into God’s royal family. “The Spirit bears witness Himself with our spirit that we are indeed the children of God” (Rom 8:16).
