God’s unique gift to you is eternal life received by believing in His uniquely born Son, Jesus Christ. “For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God” (Eph 2:8). The gifts are just beginning once you come into the family of God by faith alone in Christ alone. You can now approach God in prayer through the filling of the Holy Spirit. The canon of Scripture is another grace gift. God gives you His recorded Word, the Bible, for instruction on navigating the devil’s world. The Bible is a textbook designed to be taught by a pastor-teacher, not for you to teach yourself.
