Description

You must guard your thoughts by being occupied with Christ (problem-solving device number 10). “We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ” (2 Cor 10:5). Satan is the master deceiver, and he will try to capture your thoughts through the lures of the world. “I am afraid that as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds will be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ” (2 Cor 11:3). Obedience to Christ is the occupation with Christ. You can follow the lures of the world, or you can renew your thinking and get with the Word of God. People should never take precedence over God. Your Father seeks fidelity and devotion motivated by your love for Him. “Search me, O God, and know my heart [thoughts]. Try me and know my anxious thoughts; see if there be any hurtful way in me and lead me in the everlasting way” (Ps 139:23-24).
