You are what you think, not what you think you are. Your mind is where you live the spiritual life. You worship God by what you think, by understanding Him. Once you become Christians you are mandated to change the way you think. Your mind must be transformed into thinking divine viewpoint over human viewpoint. This requires humility. “Do not be conformed to this world [Satan’s] but be transformed by the renewing of your mind so that you may now be able to prove what is the will of God” (Rom 12:2-3). Learning God’s Word and applying it under the filling of the Holy Spirit must be the top priority in your life. Failure to learn God’s Word and execute the spiritual life is a grievous sin and is being committed daily by many Christians. The threat you face from the devil’s world is mental distractions. Satan wants to manipulate you by manipulating your thoughts. Don’t allow this to happen. “Grow in the grace and knowledge of your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18).
