You are in a spiritual war. Satan’s objectives are threefold: to exploit your weaknesses (the trends of your sin nature); to outwit you from reaching spiritual maturity, and to circumvent God’s desires for you. “Don’t be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind” (Rom 12:2). This means you have to change the way you think. Think with a divine viewpoint, not a human viewpoint. You overcome the world and the flesh that Satan uses to deceive you by staying filled with the Holy Spirit. “Walk in the Spirit and you won’t fulfill the lust of the flesh” (Gal 5:16). If you are weak on the Word of God, Satan will seek to get you to question truth by presenting something close to the truth, but it’s a decoy. Use divine wisdom to stick with the truth. “Humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God that He may promote you at the right time” (1 Pet 5:6).
