The Christian life is about training the way you think and acquiring a divine viewpoint. Your spiritual life is what you think. “Put on the armor God” (Eph 6:11-18) is changing the way you think. “Put on" is the mental process of learning and using God’s 10 problem-solving devices. You need to put on the armor of God to stand against the strategy of the devil. Using this armor you will have discernment, insight, and understanding in your thoughts and actions. You will be thinking like Christ thought and won’t end up a Christian casualty in the angelic conflict. “Because we wrestle not against flesh and blood” (Eph 6:12). Without the Word of God in your soul, in your thoughts, you are walking in darkness without the light of truth. You are faking it in life. The Word of God brings light to the darkness. “For God who said, ‘Light shall shine out of darkness,' is the One who is shown into our hearts to give us the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ” (2 Cor 4:6). Knowledge is the source of the light.
