You have volition and a sin nature, which means you have the ability to destroy yourself. We have three enemies: the world, the flesh, and the devil. Satan wants to distract you, discourage you, and defeat you. “Satan goes around like a roaring lion seeking whom he can devour” (1 Pet 5:8). You can become a spiritual failure when you lack self-control. You must control your volition and your decisions. You do this by using God's 10 problem-solving devices.” Be not deceived God will not be mocked. Whatever a man sows, he will also reap” (Gal 6:7).
