Spirituality is a status of being filled with the Holy Spirit. Spirituality is an absolute and a mandate of God. “Be filled with the Spirit” (Eph 5:18). You are either spiritual or you are carnal. You are either controlled by the Holy Spirit or by the sin nature. There are no in-betweens and no degrees. “Walk by the Spirit” (Gal 5:16). There are mechanics to living the Christian life. You can’t make up the rules as you go along. Knowledge is understanding the mechanics. Wisdom is applying the mechanics. Faith is trusting the mechanics. Grace is how God supplies them to you. Production is what you do when you use them. “If I regard inquiry in my heart, the Lord will not hear me” (Ps 66:18). Staying filled with the Holy Spirit is the only way to live the Christian way of life. Spirituality is related to the filling of the Holy Spirit. Spiritual maturity is related to the content of the Word of God in your soul and is a relative. You need to learn the mechanics to grow to spiritual maturity.
