If you are going to evaluate your spiritual life properly you must not have an unrealistic self-image or a misguided assumption about what impresses God. “But he who glories, let him glory in the Lord. For it is not he who commends himself who is approved but whom the Lord commends.” (2 Cor 10:17-18) “For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and the one who humbles himself will be exalted.” (Luke 18:14)
