While money is not exactly evil, it can be a cause for sin if we aren't careful. In this chapter of Introduction to the Devout Life, St. Francis makes some distinctions about attachment to riches and where the trap is laid. Listen in for chapter 14 of section 3 on Poverty of Spirit Among Riches.
