If you're going to live out your dreams and your desires and your aspirations,
then you're going to have to get really, really close to how important
visualization is. Because if you're somebody that's still feeling, my body
shape gets me down, my size gets me down, I'm going on holiday soon. I'm just
going to go with the same old, same old, same old clothes, same old thinking,
same old cover up. I'll just go on there. If, you're still in the same
relationship that's made you unhappy for years, then you're going through the
motions of the same thoughts and thinking and feelings about the situation, and
nothing is ever going to change. And the reason that you're so unhappy is
because you actually know what you would actually like. You actually know what
you want. But there's a big gap in the middle, and that gap is called action.
You have not actioned your visualizations to make those dreams and hopes and
aspirations your reality. You haven't. And I've seen it so many times. I've
also seen the flip side, when people actually get really, really close to this
stuff and they go, yeah, it's action that's missing. She's right. Here I go.
And, they start listing these action steps and we'll talk about them in a
minute. But the bigger thing of this is you've got a reticular activating
system. It's part of your brain that captures snapshots. All the memories of
the past are snapshots. Your brain does not know if those snapshots are real or
they're visualizations. So that gets really interesting when you start thinking
about what you hope to achieve. Because if you're thinking about the past and
the snapshots of the past, and if they're negative, your particular activating
system is basically like your filter. So you're filtering everything on the
basis of those old outdated memories. So, for example, if you feel really
overweight and, wossy fat and lazy and miserable, and I can't your reticular
activating system is going to filter everything it sees in your day to reaffirm
those messages. That's why you keep eating the chocolate. That's why you still
will not do the 10,000 steps. That's why you have never showed up for a Zoom
workout or any other workout on Feel It Be lifestyle. That is why. But when you
realize that your brain takes those snapshots and doesn't know if it's real or
if it's actually a visualization, then you start realizing that I can rewire
these neurons and create new pathways to make everything seem like a snapshot
that's real. So my visualizations could be real to my brain, and that's exactly
how I've managed to carve the life for myself that I've done. I took
visualizations snapshots of the future, of what I was wanting, what was
wanting. And when you've done that and you realize what you want, most of you
will. You then start to condition yourself and your emotions based on those
things.
