Description

Do not worry, I (brad obviously) have returned from Vietnam to facilitate all of your wellbeing podcast needs. In this episode, we provide an overview of our first season working in Scottish football as part of the young player wellbeing academy (formally programme) designed by Care Visions. We share our thoughts on what we thought the programme would involve before the season started, as well as our first thoughts on how wellbeing and sport psychology were viewed in Scottish football (before starting work with the clubs). We go over some key experiences throughout the season which have ultimately shaped the way that we view the YPW Academy and Scottish footballs attitudes towards wellbeing and sport psychology today.

Football is a difficult industry to break into, especially if you haven't played the game professionally like any of the wellbeing coaches. Reflecting on this season left us feeling privileged to be able to work in this enivornment and we hope to pick up where we left off for the 23/24 season. We'd encourage anybody out there who has had similar experiences to get in touch!
