Episode 19 is one Pat and I have been stoked on for a while now. Cam Robinson is a relief pitcher for #18 University of Louisville Baseball. They just finished a sweep of Boston College and a pretty long road stint, so we are grateful to get Cam to take time on his off day to chop it up with the boys. We dig into a lot in this episode, favorite NWA song, favorite character from The Office, but more importantly Cam's take on some different challenges that student athletes face. cam is a 5th year player at U of L and it shows. From the jump he shows a maturity and perspective about athletics that not many current athletes have. Cam spoke about making sure he takes time away from the field to gain the correct perspective on the field. He also spoke about leaning on your current teammates for support. They are going through the same ups and downs that you are and they are a built in support group while at school. I think one thing I got from Cam was knowing what you bring to the table, and doing that one thing as best you can. Pat said "comparison is the thief of joy" as a way to drive that point home and it is a way to easily find yourself straying from where your true gifts are. Do the best job you know how to do and you will affect many peoples lives.
As always, thank you all for listening and Keep Going.

Social Media Shout out: Click here to see our Social Media Shoutout of the week. This week it is St Francis DeSales Boy's Lacross posted by Morgan's Message. They wore shirts on the field for their warm up that said "Human > Athlete". This is a great message for the young men playing on that team and young athletes playing all across the country. Sports are not your identity. They are a great way to build skills and have a support group but you are not defined by your statistics.
