This is a weepy so pungent with weepiness there's a whole comic routine in one of the biggest rom-coms ever (thank you Rita Wilson and Nora Ephron).
It's An Affair To Remember, one of the greatest romances of all time showcasing the talent and charisma of Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr. They're two nice people who begin an affair on a ship, even though they're both betrothed to two nice people who keep them in pretty great lives in New York City. They agree to meet in three months time at the Empire State Building after they've broken up with their partners and got jobs. Of course, the path of true love never did run smooth.
