Description

Last week, the former president of Kyrgyzstan, Almazbek Atambaev, was convicted to 11 years in prison for illegally releasing from, well, prison, Aziz Batukaev, a crime boss. New business? Not exactly.

Batukaev was sentenced to 16 years in prison, back in 2006, for different crimes such as organising riots and committing murder in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan.

Nonetheless, back in 2013, after being diagnosed with blood cancer, Batukaev was illegally released from prison and ran away to Russia. How?
