Chinese doctor Li Wenliang who reported the seriousness of coronavirus and was reprimanded by Wuhan authorities, passed away last week. This whistleblower was considered a hero for spreading awareness since authorities were not acting.
He was one of several doctors trying to blow the whistle weeks before the outbreak up to the point he got infected himself with the virus and died.
