The United States of America is under fire. Not only this country has the most COVID-19 cases and deaths but is also under massive protests. Why? Because of George Floyd’s death.
In case you haven’t heard, George Floyd, African-American citizen was killed as a result of police brutality, where, the now, former police officer - Derek Chauvin - was filmed with his knee over Floyd’s neck for almost 9 minutes. George Floyd did not _resist arrest, he was handcuffed and on the ground.
This horrible act of deliberated cruelty enhanced the “black lives matter” movement and protesters are echoing “no justice, no peace” and “I can’t breath” - Floyd’s last words before becoming unresponsive and later passing away.
