"As my memory rests
But never forgets what I lost"
United States Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg passed away last friday, on the eve of Rosh Hashanah, aka, the Jewish New Years Eve.
After 87 years, 13 years serving on the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit and 27 years as a Supreme Court Justice, appointed in 1993 by President Bill Clinton, RBG not only brilliantly ruled on many iconic cases such as Ledbetter v. Goodyear, Burwell v. Hobby Lobby, Bush v. Gore and Shelby County v. Holder., as well as she was the second woman to be appointed to the US Supreme Court. Beside all that, she was known to be a fervent defender of women’s rights and gender equality.
But her impact on American law began years before that.
