"We are the ones who make a brighter day" 

There have always been some accusations against Swiss companies. 

Only last year, a chocolate giant Swiss company found that over 18.000 children were working at cacao farms that supply to them. And also the extraction, processing and transport of 16 raw materials, such as coal, copper and coffee, which are traded internationally by Swiss companies, have a huge environmental impact. 

So last week Swiss voters had to make a decision: whether to apply stricter penalties against Switzerland-based companies that violate United Nations human rights mandates or which harm the environment abroad. And they voted…? No. What? Protect the environment and human rights? Blasphemy! 

So basically they rejected the proposal which intended to create stricter corporate responsibility. Let's explain.
