This was a show that was long in coming. Here is a little about my guest, Jamie Arias. There is nothing that can replace the connection between a mother and a daughter. Moms are our first mentors, the one who listens to our dreams, and plays with us when nobody else will. When we become a mom, we build that next level of our relationship with our mom as she becomes a grandmother. There can be a lot of anger and frustration, sadness when these relationships break down. That pain can bleed into every other part of our lives unless we make a conscious decision to change the relationship, heal the past, and look at it differently moving forward. Do you want to heal? Do you want more love in your life? Do you want a greater sense of peace, joy, and happiness? It is possible, I know, because I transformed my relationship with my Mom after 44 years of not having one. When I was growing up, we had a daily battle of wills, and nobody won, ever, not a relationship. In 2012 many of my health issues came crashing into me, and I ended with eye surgery and major surgery; and I had to stay with my mom because I couldn’t see after the first surgery. I decided to find a way to transform our relationship. Changing my mom wasn’t an option. I had been to therapy with her and alone. We had stopped talking on and off through the years, and none of it worked. I changed, through self-development, which is a life-long pursuit, by the way. I transformed my anger and frustration into empathy for the woman I knew, not the mother who raised me. Now I help others transform and upgrade their relationships and heal old hurts, so they don’t continue to hold them back from the life they want to create. Who doesn’t want loving relationships in their life? I did! I just thought that was for everyone else, not me. Have you felt that way?
